Changing Hands presents an afternoon of scrumdiddllyumptious activities to celebrate the 93rd birthday of Roald Dahl, the beloved creator of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, The Witches, and more. We'll honor Dahl with fun activities like our Fizzwiggling First Lines Quiz, Brain-Boggling Bookplates, Gigantuous Dahl character contest, and Wonka Wisdom games. Join park staff for a guided nature walk through Veterans Oasis Park! Discover nature in your own neighborhood as you explore the hilltop viewing areas, wet-land habitats, and the shores of the urban fishing lake. Critter Keeper is a special two-hour program for children ages 6- 8 years old. During this program children will participate in ALL aspects of animal care including: cleaning and rearranging enclosures, measuring and distributing animal diets and preparing behavioral enrichment for animals. New for this year, Critter Keepers will be expanding their duties to include activities on Harmony Farm, the Children’s Trail AND the exciting, interesting and wild Arizona Trail!
